MRT Upgrade Guide

③ Data Explorer (DE) Data Recovery Module Updates:
MRT has undergone fundamental reconstruction and upgrades in the data imaging section, significantly enhancing data copy stability and inter-module interaction fluency. We've strengthened the head bitmap functionality to support the latest disk architectures in the market.

Our current DE development roadmap is:
Hard drive imaging + partition parsing
Partition valid data marking
File-level valid data marking
Independent copy strategies for valid data files
Custom file filtering
Expanded file format + mainstream file system support
Support for unconventional file systems/formats
Versions 10 and 11 already implemented partition-level valid data marking and bitmap interface processing for valid data files.
This update enhances the bitmap interface with advanced file filtering strategies, including:

· Size-based sorting (largest to smallest or smallest to largest)

· Sequential ordering

· Custom file type filtering
This logic enables targeted file imaging in scenarios involving weak read heads or when specific file types are needed, moving beyond full-disk or partition-wide imaging operations.

Special Notice:
Regarding NVMe SSD device support, hardware and software development is complete, and we are now preparing for integrated hardware-software testing. After the holiday period, we will require additional time for fine-tuning and calibration, so please stay tuned.

Important clarification for existing MRT users: Your current two-port cards, five-port cards, and Ultra 2.0 six-port cards remain fully operational.
Considering most users' practical needs, NVMe devices will be supported via dedicated PCIe hardware cards with expansion solutions, offering flexible configuration options that do not require binding to existing MRT equipment. Users can therefore choose the most suitable setup based on their specific requirements.
